12- year-old student charred to death, several others injured in fire incident at religious seminary in Tral | KNO

Srinagar, Apr 06 (KNO): A 12- year- old lstudent was charred to death while severalothers were injured in a fire incident at a religious seminary in the Tral area of South Kashmir's Pulwama district. An official told news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that fire broke out at Darul Uloom Shah-e-Hamdan in Tral town on Saturday late night, causing panic among students. The incident resulted in tragic death of 12-year-old local student, identified as Yasir Ahmad son of Bashir Ahmad, a resident of Karmula Tral. Several others were also injured in the incident. An official said that locals, officials of fire & emergency service department along with police reached the spot to control the fire. "The fire was brought under control after strenuous efforts, " he said. He said that there was extensive damage to the religious seminary in the incident. Meanwhile police have taken cognizance and started an investigation in this regard—(KNO)
